The love for this wonderful breed began in 1975 with my first German Shepherd, "Shasta". While attending obedience classes I met Carmen Duggan who was also training a German Shepherd. She helped me purchase "Carrisma's Cola" and helped me obtain my 1st CD Title when she was 6 months of age. Cola went on to her CDX Title then onto Utility where she placed 3rd in Trial. Carmen's training and guidance started me on the right path. "If your going to train, do your best, don't be happy with just a pass", she told me. I also attended classes under the knowledgeable Margerie Parkinson and Sandra Holgate. These women were a BIG influence in my training skills that have carried on to this day.

Leo Bellino of Carissima Kennel was another important part of my breeding, handling and dog behavioural training. His guidance and friendship throughout the years is a cherished part of my life.

Also Morris Bartucci of Madeb Kennels. When I look at some of my many wins in conformation it is Morris that is handling my dogs', making them look their very best. He possesses that special way of 'reading' a dog, this being a skill very few people have.

My breedings were most guided by Fred Migliore of Eko-Lan Kennels, from which I acquired Ch. Eko-Lan's Primrose CD. He was most willing to help a novice not give up and realize if your good at this it is sometimes difficult, but very rewarding.
Also Sandy and Don Bingley of Sandon Kennels who made my 1st US Futurity with Primrose one of my best and most memorable ones.

Tari Kridler of Kridler kennels and her handsome "Quno", thanks for Sammi's roadside rendezvous, "what a click".

Al Milhousen of Alfaro Kennels and I enjoyed "Great Road Trips" and his beautiful dogs matched up very well with my dogs. His knowledge he willingly passed on to help others achieve that dog that would be at the top.

Most of all, Mary Vurma of Mirheim Kennels. She took me under her wing like a mother, spending countless time, knowledge and just good talks and fun times at the shows. She stressed in a breeding program "Start with the best and breed to that type, you'll establish your look so that when people see your dogs they'll know they are from your line." Mary has been my trusted and true friend throughout the years.

I have met so many wonderful people through the dogs and am blessed and honoured to have them in my life, that by giving of their time, knowledge and lasting friendships have made me a better breeder.
Please feel free to sign the guestbook on the home page.
And of course, Special Thanks goes to my husband Murray, for without his support, guidance and tolerance of my many ventures I probably wouldn't be so happy. His own love of the dogs and their care is so very important to me.
This is my nephew Joel, showing that even the family can get involved.

This was a  very special win for him at 11 years of age taking Best Junior Handler
at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada National.
At the 2010 Canadian National Specialty I was honoured to be the
1st recipient of the PETER CRAWFORD MEMORIAL TROPHY,
presented by Carolyn Crawford to the person that represents the
German Shepherd Dog through Breeding, Training and Good Sportsmanship.
